Snacking on fruits could keep the dentists busy since they contribute to plaque building, enamel erosion and tooth decay, a new study suggests. Apples may lead to damage to the gums and the teeth akin to that caused by biscuits and chocolates. Fruit juices are also a cause of dental health problems.
Brushing more frequently should offset this problem. Also, getting regular dental cleanings is important, to get rid of plaque. Fruit is good for your health, but make sure it doesn’t hurt your teeth!
