A friend has told me that although she is really pleased with the results of her whitening, she did suffer from some sensitivity. Is this normal and how could it be prevented?
It isn’t unusual that some patients suffer with a little sensitivity after their whitening proceedure. Don’t worry it doesn’t last and there are ways it can be prevented! To help ease the discomfort, you can use a sensitive toothpaste such as Sensodyne or Colgate Total Sensitive or the very effective ‘Tooth Mousse’, as part of your daily routine. Also putting the toothpaste or mousse into your whitening trays and wearing for an hour or so or even overnight will really help…..as well as strictly following the detailed instructions we give you when we fit your home whitening trays.
