Early intervention orthodontics helps expand children’s arches, allowing the adult teeth to come through in a healthier, straighter, more cosmetic position. This reduces crowding and improves the jaw position and the way the teeth bite. By starting at as young as 7 we are able to work with the child’s growing and developing jaws, making room for their teeth and thereby avoiding the need for the extraction of healthy teeth later which would have been traditionally necessary.
Indeed the American Orthodontic Association recommends that all children at the age of 7 yrs should have an orthodontic evaluation.
