Karina graduated from the prestigious Kings College

London and spent 4 years in private practice in Australia focusing her special interests in Neuromuscular and Advanced cosmetic dentistry in association with the Las Vegas Institute of Advanced Dental Studies. During this spell of advanced education Karina also completed two years of intense study with international lecturer and orthodontist Dr Derek Mahony.

Karina is a highly qualified and experienced dentist with a broad range of skills developed in the UK, USA and Australia. She finds great pleasure in recognizing and treating children early to give them the best growth potential or, in the case of adults, help them achieve the smile they have always wanted.

Karina is constantly researching and learning the latest techniques available to give the best possible care to her patients. Her calm and understanding nature is greatly appreciated by patients and she regularly treats anxious patients with very complex procedures. She will take the time to explain all procedures to you in depth to help you make informed decisions about the level of treatment you wish to undertake.

Dr Patel has been mentored by the world-renowned Dr Steve Olmos, owner of the TMJ & Sleep Therapy Centres group, to provide the latest and most successful techniques for TMJ. Karina is The TMJ and Sleep Therapy Centre of London at the Courtyard Clinic.

Dr. Claire Holly Wilkinson

In the second half of 2015, Claire Holly Wilkinson joined our team and brought with her a wealth of experience and knowledge. Claire has a natural love and passion for dentistry, which is always evident whenever she is seeing patients who may be understandably nervous. Claire will certainly put your mind at ease.

General practice excellence is her forte, along with an uncompromising empathic approach to patient care.

Claire qualified from the highly respected University of Leeds and has since gone on to hold positions in what are considered to be very demanding areas in the country. Her expertise and experience expanded further thanks to her time at The Royal London Hospital, where she gained complex restorative/oral and maxillofacial surgical skills.

The above is often enough for patients to admire and appreciate Claire, but the following acknowledgements warm up even the hardest to please:

Dr Manisha Lukha

Manisha joined The Courtyard Clinic team with an already proven track record of excellence as a Specialist Orthodontist. Her work ethic and passion revolves around patient care and putting her Orthodontic expertise to positive use in order to improve the lives of her patients.

Manisha graduated in dentistry from Guys Dental Hospital in London in 1992. She then completed a 1 year Vocational Training contract in North London after which she undertook SHO posts in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. During this time Manisha completed her primary and Final Fellowship examinations.

The unique qualities that Manisha naturally possess opened up the path to a 3 year training programme for Specialist Orthodontic Training. In 2001, Manisha was awarded MSc and Membership in Orthodontics. It is this strong focus on continued education, training and self-improvement that has allowed Manisha to excel in her field and to provide the best possible consultation and treatment to her very appreciative patients.

Before joining The Courtyard Clinic, she worked in various Specialist Practices and at Kingston Hospital, London. Manisha's long career is a testament to her professional yet friendly approach to dental care.

During her career spanning no less than 13 years, Manisha has treated a vast array of Orthodontic cases. These include the treatment of both adults and children, and this is where her unique qualities of being able to provide care for Class II children really comes into effect.

Manisha is highly experienced in the use of straight wire appliances, self-ligating systems including Damon, Lingual Appliances and Invisalign. As a patient, you can rest assured that you are in very capable hands.

Manisha has 2 young children and likes to divide her time between work and family.

Dr Martin Wanendeya

Martin is one of a few dentists in the UK to have been awarded the Diploma in Implant Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons at the Advanced level.

Martin enjoys working with people to help improve their smile and self-confidence through cosmetic dentistry and implants. He believes the greatest satisfaction as a dentist comes through helping patients understand what's possible and working with them to achieve their aims, whether it's a simple treatment or a complex rehabilitation.

In addition to practising dentistry Martin is a tutor on the Royal College of Surgeons diploma course, teaching and mentoring other dentists on implant surgery.

Martin qualified from Bristol University in 1995. He soon developed an interest in restorative and cosmetic dentistry and went on to complete a year's training in advanced cosmetic and restorative dentistry

A firm believer in the importance of lifelong learning, Martin regularly attends postgraduate courses to update his knowledge with the latest advances in dentistry. He is a member of Royal College of Surgeons, the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Association of Dental Implantology, the International Team in Implantology and the British Dental Association.

Dr Yasmin E. George

Yasmin qualified at Guy's Hospital Dental School in 1988. She has considerable experience in many different areas of dentistry, in particular orthodontics and complex oral rehabilitation cases and is very good with nervous and phobic patients.

Early orthodontic treatment for children and improving adult smiles are areas of particular interest, and Yasmin has studied extensively with a number of highly regarded orthodontic specialists including Dr. Derek Mahony.

Yasmin regularly visits the USA for courses in the latest dental techniques and is on teaching faculty and the Advisory Board of the Pankey Institute in Florida.

Yasmin is an examiner for the National Examining Board for Dental Nurses and also sits on their Panel of Examiners for the Certificate in Dental Sedation Nursing.

Yasmin has recently been awarded a Fellowship in the International Academy of Dental-Facial Esthetics. This award is by invitation to those dentists, physicians and members of the cosmetics/dental industry who have distinguished themselves in their respective professions.

Being a nervous patient herself, Yasmin believes in treating her patients in the way she would like to be cared for, and enjoys the opportunity to 'make a difference' to her patient's dental health.

She is married with two sons and lives in Dorking.

Simon Chard qualified with Honours from King's College London Dental Institute; he was awarded the prestigious Academy of Operative Dentistry Award given to the top student in the year for clinical dentistry, as well as receiving awards for root canal therapy and aesthetic dentistry.

Since qualifying Simon has been working in general practice in Pimlico, London and is currently undertaking further training in advanced aesthetic dentistry with the renowned dentist Dr Chris Orr. He is extremely enthusiastic about his profession with a particular emphasis on computer aided CEREC dentistry; a modern technique providing porcelain crowns, veneers and onlays in a single visit.

Simon is a member of a number of associations including the Association of Dental Implantology (ADI) and currently sits on the Young Membership and Communications committees of the British Academy of Cosmetic dentistry (BACD). This enables him to stay up to date with the latest advancements in aesthetic dentistry.

Simon's parents are dentists and he lives locally with his fiancée who, yes you've guessed it, is also a dentist!

Outside of work Simon enjoys keeping fit as well as being a keen photographer, snowboarder and scuba diver.
   
   
Esti Mayans Hygienist

Esti joined our practice in January 2011 and is with us every week.
She qualified in from Guy's Kings and St.Thomas's 2004 and is definitely the best person to help our patients with their gum health and oral hygiene.

Esti also does tooth whitening and helps look after all our patients who have braces on their teeth.
In her spare time Esti enjoys Latin dancing, good food, reading and travel.
