Thursday, January 21st, 2010

Last weekend Dr. Yasmin George spent time studying with Dr. Derek Mahony…world renowned  leading Orthodontic Specialist. Dr. George was involved in facilitating the learning for 50 dentists over 5 days in London, as well as herself benefitting from updating her knowledge.

Dr Mahony not only owns the most successful orthodontic practice in Australia, but is recognised as a leading educator in the field of orthodontics..in particular teaching the latest developments in the field of fixed braces (Damon Braces) for adults and children.

The course finished on Sunday afternoon and Dr. George was back at The Courtyard Clinic on Monday morning!

Our Practice Manager

Monday, November 23rd, 2009

My name is Alison and I am the Practice Manager at The Courtyard Clinic. I joined here last October after being in my previous practice for over 20 years!
I originally worked as a Dental Nurse and progressed to becoming a Practice Manager not only responsible for the smooth running of the practice but also for the Business Development of The Courtyard Clinic.
My wide experience in dentistry and knowledge of the treatments we offer..helps me be able to try to answer as many questions and queries that you may have.

Courtyard Staff attending Courses!

Last week the two dentists, Yasmin and Amit, along with their nurses, Sue and Mel, enjoyed a full day learning tecniques for ‘four handed’ dentistry. With a few tweaks here and there to their routines and positioning when they are working, they are finding each appointment more comfortable for themselves and their patients.

Melanie’s progress so far.

Melanie joined the team almost a year ago and has settled in extremely well. At the moment she is studying for her Radiography exam which she will take in December.
This will mean that Melanie will be able to assist the dentists and take x rays for our patients….
Let’s hope all the hard work pays off.
Good luck Melanie!
