  2. Janice Moore says:

I am considering braces. They must be invisible and fit on the inside of my teeth not the front. I cannot cope with having to see them and for other people to see them. It is only for my top teeth and i would like to find out more about the social 6 braces and the light lingual braces. I had braces for years as a child which were both painful and ineffective. This has left me with a dread of treatment not working, and a deep mistrust of dentists. therefore i must find a dentist i can learn to trust and who can assure me of the expected results, whatever they may be. I realise my teeth may not be fixable . They have blighted my life . Can you supply costs ? and/or a brochure about these treatments? I would be grateful for any advice. Many Thanks.

  3. The Courtyard Clinic says:

Thank you for your enquiry. If you would like me to send one of our brochures with a price list, please let me have your address and I will arrange for one to be sent to you.

Without seeing you it is almost impossible to give you a cost estimate for the work you need, however we offer a free initial consultation of 30 minutes which allows you to meet the team, see the practice and we can discuss your dental concerns in general terms.

What may be a more constructive is to book a New Patient Exam …this is a one hour appt, we will also take x rays and so we can then have a detailed discussion about your dental situation and proper fee estimates can be given.

Following this appointment, if it is appropriate, we will prepare a written report and Treatment Plan all fully costed, for which we do not charge.

The New Patient Examination is usually £98 and the xrays are usually £53 and £28.

Our website may also be a good source of information for you aswell http://www.thecourtyardclinic.com.

If you can give us a call on 01932 582949 and we will be happy to arrange an appointment for you and give you any other information you may need.

We look forward to meeting you,

    Alison Muir

  4. The Courtyard Clinic says:

    Dear Loretta,

I am sure we can help you and as you can see from our website we have a range of different orthodontic techniques that we can offer you…including Insignia…

Until I see you it is difficult to say exactly how your problem might be resolved, but I have considerable experience in orthodontics and resolving problems similar to yours.

May I suggest that you come along for a consultation (free of charge) so we can meet, see the exact problem and discuss how this might be resolved.

Alison, my practice manager will be happy to discuss the practice with you on the phone and give you any further information you may require.

If you can send us your contact details Alison can arrange an appointment.

I look forward to meeting you,

    With kind regards

    Dr. Yasmin George.

  6. loretta cooke says:

    Hi

I had a some treatment done last year to straighten my four front bottom teeth with an inman aligner and have been experiencing some problems since .my teeth were over filed and filed unevenly on both sides before the procedure and are very narrow compared with how they were. my bottom teeth were bashing against my top teeth at the end of treatment and did not feel comfortable so i did not wear my retainer ….my lower arch is now narrower at the front and my top teeth have gone inwards giving a negative affect to my lip support and symmetry. I want to get my lower teet,h rebuilt with either veneers or other restorative options. I noticed you use the insignia software and would like to know if this software can be used to reopen the spaces between the lower front teeth so they can be restored. I know this can be a bit unpredictable with Traditional braces but would like to know if this can be done, and how it would be done

    Loretta cooke

  7. The Courtyard Clinic says:

Thank you for your enquiry but we don’t actually provide the Inman aligner treatment but we do provide a few alternatives which are faster, less painful and more precise. Maybe the best option is for you to come in for a FREE orthodontic consultation and we can then assess you and let you know what treatments are available to you.

  8. Ms. C says:

Please can you advise me on your price range for the Inman Aligner.

    Thank you.

  9. The Courtyard Clinic says:

Thank you for your enquiry regarding Snap-On-Smile, our prices start from £995.

Whitening and ‘Snap on Smile’ are quite different treatments so it may be best for you to book an initial consultation appointment -for which we do not charge. That way we can decide which option is the most appropriate to give you the smile you want for your wedding.

We look forward to meeting you.

  10. Vicky Hann says:

    Hi,
I’ve been looking into whitening for my wedding – in April. Whilst looking I’ve now seen the new snap-on smile, which I see you offer, but can’t find a price for – please can you advise?
    Thanks
    Vicky

  11. The Courtyard Clinic says:

    Dear Tracey,

We would be delighted to see you as a new patient to our practice and our initial assessment and full examination would include the ‘all round’ OPG xray, small xrays and a full periodontal assessment…..this is routine for all our new patients.

From that appointment (which is usually an hour) we would agree a way forward with treatment, the details of which we will discuss together with the costs.

As you can see from our website the New Patient full examination is £97 and xrays are £52 plus £26.

We do also offer a free initial consultation but we would not properly assess your gums at that visit.

I hope this information is of help,

    Best wishes Dr. Yasmin George.

  12. Tracy Marshall says:

Hi, I was refused treatment at guy’s hospital earlier this year as my gum disease was said to not be serious enough!
I am concerned for the health of my gums and teeth and my dentist agree’s that I need peridontal work to maintain proper oral health.
Can you offer me this treatment as a new patient along with 180 deg X ray to properly assess my condition?
    Kind regards
    Tracy

  13. The Courtyard Clinic says:

    Hi,

Your dilemma is very common amongst our nervous and phobic patients….however we are pleased to tell you that many of them do succeed in having the treatment they want or need even if it does take more than two visits. Developing a good rapport and good communication with your dentist is very important and a level of trust usually then follows….

We can also offer intravenous sedation which means you can have fewer visits which are longer and so more of the work needed can be done. During the visit the sedation drug relaxes you and after treatment you can’t remember much about the treatment. We have several patients who find this technique very helpful.

Embarrassment about your teeth is again a very common feeling, but we are professionals doing our best to help people and do not worry about the things you think we might…..we are focussed on how we can help you… .

My recommendation would be that you come to meet our team, and see if we can help you.

    Regards Dr. Yasmin George.

  14. The Courtyard Clinic says:

    Dear Manoj,

Without seeing you and examining your teeth….it is difficult to tell you what your treatment costs will be.

Bleeding gums are not a good sign and usually indicates gum disease…but this is treatable and often teeth can be saved.

We would recommend that you come for a New Patient assessment with xrays and then we can advise you properly.

    Kind regards

    Dr. Yasmin George.

  15. The Courtyard Clinic says:

    HI Helen,

We would be delighted to see your daughter for an initial consultation for which there is no charge.

At aged 5 and with the problem you describe, we are well positioned to be able to offer early orthopaedic treatment to start to correct the distortions to the bite that the thumb sucking has induced.

Usually a removable plastic brace is recommended…but there are other options and I can explain these when we meet.

If you can telephone the practice Alison will be delighted to arrange an appointment.

    Kind regards Dr. Yasmin George

  17. Andrew says:

    Hello,

I have REALLY bad teeth, missing stained cracked. Along side this I have a really BAD phobia of dentists.

I would guess I need to go denture or mini implant route. I think I could stand one or two visits but not prolonged treatment course.

Do you have any suggestions, also I feel very uncomfortable showing anybody the state of my teeth, embarrasment I guess.

    Thanks

  18. Mrs H Stevens says:

My daugter is 5 (6 in Sep) and has an excessive open bite. Although a thumb sucker which has definately exaserbated the problem, she showed signs of this open bite from a very young age, pre teeth.

I am looking for ways to start to correct her bite, facial appearance and preventing having to use the traditional orthodontic treatments which usually start from 11 yrs onwards.

Looking at your web site, it looks like you may be able to help me. We have managed to stop the thumb sucking and I am hoping that now could be a good time to start alternative othodontics?

I hope to hear from you soon and I am keen to bring her for an initial consultation.

    Regards,

    Helen.

  19. The Courtyard Clinic says:

    HI Paul,
We do offer the treatment you describe and it is done here either by one of the dentists or by Marie, our hygienist.
Sometimes local anaesthetic is needed so the treatment can be completely comfortable.
In one visit of an hour we would expect to complete one quadrant at least, but individuals vary, so fees would be quoted at the initial examination once we have seen you and your xrays.
A guide price is £118 to £175 per hour for this treatment.

    Dr Yasmin George

  20. Paul Carter says:

Hello, – do you carry out periodontal treatment at your clinic? I have been told by my dentist that I need periodontal deep cleaning (all four quadrants) as I have deep pockets. If you do, an idea of cost would be appreciated. Many thanks.
